Privacy Policy
TL;DR
Solsida does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The only sensitive permission it uses is location, and your location stays on your device.
What we don't do
- We do not transmit your location to any server.
- We do not store your location after you close the app.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone.
- We do not require an account.
What the app does access

Third-party services
When you use the app, your device communicates with the following providers solely to render the map:
- OpenFreeMap (
tiles.openfreemap.org) — serves the basemap tiles. - OpenStreetMap Nominatim (
nominatim.openstreetmap.org) — used by the address search box.
These services see the same kind of HTTP requests any web map sends them (tile coordinates, search queries). They do not receive identifying information beyond standard request metadata (your IP address, user agent), and Solsida does not pass them anything else. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
The building heights used to draw shadows are derived from Lantmäteriet's open Laserdata (CC0) and are bundled with the app — no network call is made to obtain them.
Children
Solsida is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL where you found this one, with the updated date at the top.
